“The thing is, the more you fear death, the more you die.” – Nick Tosches
And that’s all I have folks. I don’t really consider the prospect of death much. I have enough to worry about in the present and I over-think everything anyway.
So your thoughts on death?
“Youth is wasted on the young.”
Death should not be anyone’s preoccupation. Contemplating death wastes your time and holds you back from LIFE. Living well, whether financially or emotionally, is hard enough, without wasting time worrying about something outside your control.
Besides, you’re still a young punk. Leave the morbid ponderings to us old farts WAY closer to meeting the Grim Reaper! :p
Couldn’t agree more. I just read the quotes by Tosches in Esquire magazine and was struck by it.
Okay, bunkie, are you deletin’ posts on me again? WTF?!?
What are you going on about old man?
Something about moving schools and such? I got the Email to prove I’m not nuts – THIS time, at least.
Oh yeah, I deleted that one. I wasn’t feeling it. I wrote it at like 2am, and I’ve been fighting being sick for weeks now, so it wasn’t my best writing.
An author’s worst critic is himself.
I’m having this debate with another blogger, who is ASTOUNDING at composing haiku. (Haikus? Haiki?) I know it’s your blog and your rules, but I say post it. Take the criticism, if criticism is due. I think you’ll find that not only will you NOT get negative feedback, but it will help both you as a writer, andus as your audience to understand you.
(Sigh.) Okay, Philosophy Of Writing 101 is concluded for today. Now I’m gonna go BURN my dang soapbox!
Please soak it in gasoline before to make sure it’s a good fire haha.
Well I’d be arguing with myself because I didn’t want it up. I’ll recreate it at some point I’m sure. I always do.
